ABOUT THE ARTIST
Born and raised in Ithaca, NY, I moved to Los Angeles to broaden the scope of my influence as a visual artist & storyteller.
A cinephile since middle-school, I spent most of high-school experience experimenting with cutting a variety of short video pieces, some focused narrative, some abstract... I quickly fell in love with the countless styles of visual storytelling, finding that the sight-sound relationship can be both a riveting means of entertainment, and an incredible teaching tool.
In 2012, I graduated from Full Sail University with a Bachelor's of Science in film production, and, through and since, have worked in the full variety of production roles. Principally an independent, I've been writing and shooting my own content for over 15 years, while I relish the opportunities to collaborate with other artists.
Most recently I finished post-production on the award-winning feature documentary, Radical Acts Of Love, showcasing one remarkable woman's struggle with early-onset Alzheimer's disease. Operating as JYM MOVING IMAGES, I've shot everything from video marketing campaigns to short narratives, to weddings and birth announcements. My primary interest is telling stories that celebrate the enormous potential of humanity, while also shining necessary light on the darkness of our trying, troubled natures.
